London Sea Life Aquarium
London
Situated in the heart of London on the South Bank of the River Thames and located
on the ground floor of County Hall is the popular London Sea Life Aquarium. One
of the largest aquaria in Europe, the London Sea Life Aquarium first opened in 1997,
has recently undergone a £5 million refurbishment and welcomes over a million
visitors every.
Bringing you closer than ever before to magical sea creatures in an immersive and
interactive journey, a visit to the London Sea Life Aquarium is a magical marine
life adventure you will never forget. Located near to the London Eye, the London
Sea Life Aquarium is something different from your average London tourist attraction
and is a great place to learn about and appreciate the natural world and its wonders.
With over 50 displays holding around 3000 different forms of marine life from graceful
Green sea turtles to awe-inspiring tropical sharks and around 400 different species
of fish. There are 14 different zones on three floors: freshwater stream, Atlantic
upper, rivers and ponds, Pacific upper, Indian Ocean, Atlantic lower, Ray pool,
temperate waters, Pacific lower, coral reef, invertebrates, tropical freshwater,
mangrove and rainforest.
See seven different species of shark as well as Europe's largest selection of Cow
Nosed rays, or learn about the world's oceans, as well as rainforest, tropical freshwater,
seashores and beaches and see a recreation of a coral reef. The new underwater tunnel
gives a truly up close and personal experience like none other, and there are free
