London is the capital city of the UK and the largest city in the European Union with an official population of just over seven and a half million, and growing. One of Europe's most densely populated areas, London is a multicultural city with approximately 300 languages spoken. The City of London is also known as the 'Square Mile' and today is home to the capital's financial district.

London is made up of 32 boroughs covering approximately 1,000 square miles as well as the one square mile City of London.
