One of the Royal Parks of London, Regents Park consists of 410 acres of open parkland and includes beautiful rose gardens consisting of over 400 varieties of rose. Known as the 'jewel in the crown', Regents Park is located in the northern part of central London, partly in the City of Westminster and partly in the London Borough of Camden.
Regents Park offers superb sports facilities with nearly 100 acres available; it is the largest outdoor sports area in Central London. There is space for sailing, tennis, archery, and boating on the Regents Park Canal. There is a lake with a heronry, waterfowl and a boating area and children's playgrounds too.
There are regular events held in the park such as nature walks like the Birds Walks and Bat Walks and most events are free too. The north-east end of the park contains London Zoo and the headquarters of the Zoological Society of London.
